Well, following on from the aweful performance in the Stanford cricket match, England lost yet again to India in this first one day international.

India’s top scorer Yuvaj Singh took full control hitting a huge 158 runs from just 78 balls. Their total score was 387-5 from the 50 overs.

England could only hit back by a good performance from skipper Kevin Pietersen who got 63 but the rest of the team fell apart, reaching a dissappointing score of 229 all out.

Although Pietersen’s captaincy and personal performance’s have been very good, the rest of the team needs to start finding some form soon, otherwise it’s going to be a long year ahead of them.
